It often has lag spikes, with a development team that is severely underfunded so it takes time to rework gamemodes. Lag spikes and slow response times dont really plague major servers as they have a professional development team that actually has a realistic budget. However, ArchMC is large in terms of a cracked minecraft server. At least the server is running soso compared to other cracked servers who receive no maintanence and have much worse lag. ArchMC is one of the best in terms of cracked servers but one of the worse for nomal servers. Founded by a team of Minecrafters who wish to give ppl who dont have Minecraft a chance to experience the minecraft java server mode, ArchMC has become a server that stand out among many cracked servers. 

By the way, theres a reason why arch is so p2w. Do u know HOW EXPENSIVE it is to run a server, and most of yall are eagler. Servers like HYPIXEL only make money through rank and in-game item purchase. Its not a CRACKED server its official MC. Server maintanence is actually quite expensive as i have a relative who is a game developer. Most of the time it is not worth it. Arch could become a java server to stand a chance to make more cash but they dont do it(prolly also cos of legal reasons. They need money to run the server, if not the server will shut down.

Arch has lag spikes cos they have low funding. Its also the reason why its p2w, they need money to run the server.

Arch has been expanding rapidly, in May there used to be only 20 players online on survival after 11 PM EST, now there are never less than 150 on. The total server count used to never go over 500, now it has hit over 1300. I'd call that rapid growth.

Lag spikes do plague all major servers, to be fair its not as bad as Arch's lag for most of them, but it is nonetheless there.

Also if Arch became real Minecraft only then it would lose most of its revenue and playerbase, most java players only play because of the large player count and most of its revenue comes from eagler players (even DiffuseKevjo - who spent over $24,000 on Arch - was eagler)
